Christmas parade lights up Tiptonville

Downtown Tiptonville was aglow with the Christmas spirit the night of Monday, December 9 as Santa’s Magic Christmas Parade.

Crowds lined up along Church Street as dozens of parade entries made their way from the starting point on Algee Street.

Floats, antique vehicles, ATVs, motorcycles, cars, trucks, and even a tricked out tractor made their way through downtown. Children were waiting on sidewalks with bags, buckets, hats, and anything else they could find to collect candy in.

The parade’s special guests included Santa, the Grinch, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

The parade was led by Tiptonville Main Street’s float, which featured the Falcon football team. The Falcons are on quite a winning streak. In addition to bringing home the gold football from the state championships, the float they rode on also won first place for the President’s Trophy and second place for Santa’s Trophy in the parade.
