Lake County Schools raising money for championship rings

Lake County is brimming with pride after the Lake County Falcons’ state championship win last week.

Unfortunately, TSSAA does not supply state championship rings to the players, so district schools are doing a few things to help raise the funds to make sure each player gets their much-deserved ring.

Margaret Newton Elementary School: For the remainder of this week, students at MNES can get their faces painted for $1. On Friday students can purchase popcorn and a drink for $2. Tuesday, December 17 will be Polar Express Day. Students can wear dress code appropriate pajamas that day, though they cannot wear house shoes. Baked goods will also be available December 17 after lunch for $1. Santa will be at MNES December 18. It will be $2 to get a 4×6 copy of a photo of a student with Santa.

Lara Kendall/Lake County Middle School: This Friday students can purchase popcorn and a drink for $2. Hat Day will be December 17 and 18. It will be $2 each day for students to wear their favorite hat to school.

Lake County High School is also taking donations to help fund the state championship rings. Donations can be dropped off at the front office or mailed to the school at 300 Cochran Street, Tiptonville, TN 38079.
