Three Tiptonville men are facing multiple drug charges following their Tuesday, February 18 arrests.
Following a traffic stop, 23-year-old Conard Hurt, 25-year-old Dontrell Giles, and 19-year-old Natavion Giles received the following charges: possession schedule I with intent, possession schedule II cocaine with intent, possession schedule II methamphetamine with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of gambling devices, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, unlawful possession of a firearm, and theft under $1,000.
According to Chief Joe England with Tiptonville Police Department, officers were looking for Hurt after an alleged violation of a restraining order.
A deputy with Lake County Sheriff’s Department spotted a vehicle Hurt was in and initiated the stop.
TPD and LCSD officers found the three men in the car, along with 23 grams of MDMA, 51 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, a 9 mm pistol, digital scales, bags, a dice horn, and 17 dice.
The gun had previously been reported as stolen out of Nashville.
In addition to the drug, theft, and firearm charges, Hurt has a violation of a restraining order charge. Officers charged Natavion Giles with criminal simulation from a previous warrant and Dontrell Giles with driving on a revoked license.
“The investigation and arrests were a joint effort between Tiptonville Police Department and the sheriff’s department,” Chief England said.
