FISH FRY—Rock of Ages C.M.E. Church at 824 Lake Street in Tiptonville will have a fish fry Saturday, September 14 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Plates are $80 and include two pieces of fish, spaghetti, white beans, slaw, bread, and a drink. To reserve a plate before Saturday, call Gwen Avery at 253-7015 or Debra Holliman at 253-8869. On Saturday you may call the church at 253-8134.

COOKOUT– Come join us at Mt. Olive Baptist Church at 4509 Crystal Rd Union City TN on Sunday, September 15 beginning at 4 p.m. for our End of the summer cookout, singing and fellowship event. Invite family and friends for a great time of toe-tapping live music, great food and wonderful fellowship! The Darbin Ousley & Jargon Band will be performing gospel music. This is free event! Hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks and desserts will be provided free of charge. This event will be held outside in the parking lot of the church unless it rains; then it will be held in the fellowship hall . So bring your lawn chairs and come join us for this free event!

MENS PRAYER BREAKFAST — There will be a Men’s Prayer Breakfast held Saturday, September 14th at 8:00 A.M. located at the First Methodist Church in Tiptonville. All men and boys are invited.

CHURCH EVENT — On September 15th, Willingham Baptist Church will be hosting an event UNDERSTANDING THE TIME 2019, THE BIBLE AND END TIME EVENTS. There will be a guest, Damon Duck, at 5 P.M., for the Sunday night service.

IT’S FALL Y’ALL—The City of Tiptonville is sponsoring “It’s A Fall Y’all,” a decorating contest. The two categories for the competition are most beautiful and most original. Judging is October 2. There are first and second place winners in residential and business.

HAYNES MEMORIAL GARDEN– The “Friends of Haynes Memorial Garden” group has contracted a lawncare professional to perform lawn maintenance of the cemetery for the remainder of the mowing season. Donations for cemetery maintenance can mailed to Bancorp South, 107 N Main Str., Ridgely, TN 38080. Please make checks payable to “Friends of Haynes Memorial Garden” and in the memo line, write “cemetery maintenance” so the bank can identify your contribution for deposit into the proper account. In order to keep the mowing costs reduced, it is requested that family and friends please remove extra grave décor other than flowers in the stone/marker vase from loved one’s grave sites.

FREE CLASSES—HISET (High School Equivalency Diploma) First United Methodist Church, 536 Church Street, Tiptonville, TN. Classes will be held on Tuesdays at 9:30-12 and Thursdays 9:30-12. For more information on testing and enrolling, call Robert Griffin at 731-442-2944.
