Gracie Mae Douglas 1946-2022

Gracie Mae Douglas, 75, of Troy, TN, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at her residence.
Gracie was born on November 5, 1946, in Lake County, TN, to the late, William Clayton “Bud” Turner and the late, Lula Mae Tolley Turner.
She was an employee with the Reelfoot Lake State Park and was a member of Keystone Church of God. She was a former employee of the Correctional Department. Gracie had a love for all sports, especially football and baseball. She loved her Lake County High School Football Falcons and was an avid fisherman.
Gracie loved people and enjoyed being around them. She loved to sing and listen to southern gospel music, loved visiting the Great Smokey Mountains and was always heard before she was ever seen.
Gracie was a wife, mother, grandmother, a good cook and her family and friends will miss her greatly.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Adams officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Troy, TN.
The Douglas Family received visitors from 12-3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Douglas of Troy, TN; a son, Leonard Warren Douglas, Jr. (Wendy) of Tiptonville, TN; a daughter, Vicky Darlene Bueno (Enrique) “Henry” of Kodak, TN; a brother, Johnny Turner of Tiptonville, TN; two sisters, Jeanette Donnell of Tiptonville, TN and Shirley Kirk of Ridgely, TN; and two grandchildren, Tyler Douglas and Jordan Douglas.
In addition to her parents, Gracie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Zeigler.
Pallbearers were Johnny Turner, Richard Turner, Adam Douglas, Andy Douglas, Kenneth “Big John” Youngblood and Shane Hodges. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas “Sam” Turner, Jonathan Moore and
Ricky Staggs.
