William Anthony “Tony” Mobbs
William Anthony “Tony” Mobbs, 59 of Tiptonville, Tennessee died on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Regional One Medical in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, February 7, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Mobbs was a self-employed electrician,
working with his brother on many jobs. He was a life long resident of Lake County and graduated from Lake County High School in 1981. He was a lover of all types of music, was interested in Civil War History and Tony always enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He loved life and lived it his way making
,friends and many memories along the way.
Funeral services for Mr. Mobbs will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 5, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
Officiating this service will be Rev. Mike Hickman. Interment will follow in Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Joyce Moore of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Bradley Eddlemon (Laura) of Tiptonville, Tennessee; four sisters, Gaye Lynn Burton of Dyersburg,
Tennessee, Amy Clements (Bill) of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Jana Paschal (Johnnie) of Eva, Tennessee and Madeline Eddlemon of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his companion, Juana Driskill of Steele, Missouri; one uncle, Joel Foster, of Tiptonville, Tennessee; two aunts, Mildred Armstrong of Ridgely, Tennessee and Rosemary Eddlemon of Ridgely, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two fathers, Amos Mobbs and Tommy Gene Eddlemon: his grandparents,
Ira and Louise Foster, Herbert and Inez Eddlemon, Powhaten Mobbs and Margaret Neely and his great-grandparents, Bud and Mattie Foster and Curt and Eula Thomas.
William Anthony “Tony” Mobbs Honoring Mr. Mobbs as pallbearers will be Donald Lynn, Jerome Shumate, Robert Parks, Scotty Johnson, Mike Russell, Clint Lebo, Dennis Chisholm, and Jimmy Burrus.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Clements, Hobie Lawrence, Dave Darnell and Elwood Rhodes.

Crystal Taylor age 36 of Dyersburg, TN. died Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her residence. Arrangements are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home.
Visitation was held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Emanuel Church of God In Christ 809 Lake St. Tiptonville, TN.
Funeral service followed at 12 Noon with Bishop Denard Williams officiating. Burial will be held in Citizens Cemetery in Tiptonville.
