Elizabeth Jude named director of continuing education at DSCC

Dyersburg, Tennessee – Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) President Karen Bowyer has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Jude as the new director of continuing education for the College.

The continuing education department at DSCC provides numerous noncredit programs including workforce development, youth programs, personal enrichment, certificate programs and customized training. In her new position as director of continuing education, Jude will be responsible for marketing and scheduling classes, training programs and workshops that meet the needs of industry and business partners and community members in Dyer, Tipton, Lake, Obion, Lauderdale and Crockett counties.

“Ms. Jude has had excellent experiences in marketing and customer services at Washington University and Von Maur Department Stores in St. Louis,” states Dr. Bowyer.

Jude comes to DSCC from Washington University School of Law where she served as admissions officer and event coordinator since 2017. Before this, she served as executive floor manager at Von Maur from 2014-2017; and textile apparel and merchandising department assistant at Indiana State University from 2012-2014.

Jude earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Apparel and Merchandising with a minor in Electronic Media and Marketing from Indiana State University.

“I am grateful to assist and serve Dyersburg State Community College,” stated Jude. “I look forward to enhancing current programs and developing new programs for economic growth in the community.”
