Posted

Lady Falcons have been pushing through obstacles to get to this point in the season. With young leadership, the Lady Falcons have had to deal with disciplinary issues, transfers, and lack of depth from the bench. Currently, the team currently has eight players.

The Lady Falcons are currently 8 – 9 on the season. Although the record is not a good as they would like it to be, they are continually working hard on the court to score.

After going 2 – 2 to start the season, with wins over Halls and Ripley, they fell to Dyer County and Union City. Since then, they have won six more and lost seven.

The Falcons beat South Pemiscot 50 – 28 on December 19 to finish out the first half of the season. Jakyla Hill put up 30 points in this game.

During the Christmas Tournament in Paducah, the Falcons beat UHA, lost to Trigg County and Ballard County, before beating CCA to finish up the tournament 2 – 2.

They opened the second half of the season with a 43 – 16 win over the Fulton County Pilots on December 4. They lost to Dresden on December 6.

With a big win against Obion County on December 7, the Falcons pulled the game away with a final score of 57 – 45. Jakyla Hill led the team with 32 points. Two days later, the Ladies beat South Pemiscot 54 – 35. Hill led the team with 19 points. Jashaylia Lee had 15 points.

After two exciting wins, the Falcons lost to Bradford 60 – 39 last Tuesday and South Fulton on Friday by a score of 62 – 28.

At 8 – 9, the Lady Falcons are working really hard with a youth team and non-typical adversity. The Falcons go to work again Union City and Gleason this week. They have nine games remaining in the schedule before Districts start in mid-February.
