Contract 325 –ARP Reelfoot Street Sewer Main Rehabilitation

Separate sealed BIDS for Contract 325 – ARP Reelfoot Street Sewer Main Rehabilitation including the  rehabilitation of 1,755 L.F. of 10” Vitrified Clay Sewer Main along Reelfoot Steet using cured-in-place pipe, plus alternate bids for the rehabilitation of an additional 2,495.5 L.F. of 10” Vitrified Clay Sewer Main along State Route 78, and other associated work, will be received by the City of Tiptonville at City Hall at 130 S. Court St., Tiptonville, TN 38079 until 1:30 PM CST, Tuesday, July 29,  2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Treasury American Rescue Plan financial assistance will be used to fund all or a portion of the contract under ARP Grant 2022-8383 Project ID WW-PDC-04. The Contractor must comply will all applicable Federal law, regulations, executive orders, Treasury policies, procedures, and directives.

A RESOLUTION MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS OF Lake COUNTY, TENNESSEE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2025 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2026

WHEREAS, Section 5-9-109, Tennessee Code Annotated, authorizes the County Legislative Body to make appropriations to non-profit organizations; and,

WHEREAS, The Lake County Legislative Body recognizes the various non-profit organizations providing services in Lake County have great need of funds to carry on their work; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lake County Legislative Body on this 28th day of July 2025.

SECTION 1. That sixty eight thousand three hundred fifty dollars ($68,350) be appropriated to nonprofit organizations in Lake County as reflected below.

56500-316 Tiptonville & Ridgely Libraries $35,350
58110-316 Tourism  $30,000

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all appropriations enumerated in Section 1 above are made subject to the following conditions:

  • That the non-profit organization to which funds are appropriated shall file with the County Clerk and the disbursing official a copy of an annual report of its business affairs and transactions and the proposed use of the county’s funds in accordance with rules promulgated by the Comptroller of the Treasury, Chapter 0380-2-7. Such annual report shall be prepared and certified by the chief financial officer of such non-profit organization in accordance with Section 5-9-109 (c), Tennessee Code Annotated.

  • That said funds must only be used by the named non-profit organization in furtherance of its non-profit purposes benefiting the general welfare of the residents of the county.

  • That it is the expressed interest of the County Commission of Lake County in providing funds to the above-named non-profit organizations to be fully in compliance with Chapter 0390-2-7 of the rules of the Comptroller of the Treasury and Section 5-9-109, Tennessee Code Annotated and any and all other laws which may apply to county appropriations to non-profit organizations. This appropriation is made subject to compliance with all of these laws and regulations.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
