This cause came on to be heard this 5th day of August, 2025, on the Motion of the Plaintiff for an Order of Publication in this cause, and it appearing that service of process by publication is appropriate in this cause to afford those Defendants who cannot be found or served and who are identified on the list attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof, timely and proper notice of the filing and pendency of this cause, and of the assessed real estate taxes for tax year 2023 which are past due and owing by said Defendants in the amounts recorded upon said list; and good cause appearing,
IT IS ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that the Defendants identified on Exhibit A shall be and are hereby ordered to be served with process and timely notice of the filing and pendency of this cause, and of the assessed real estate taxes for tax year 2023 which are past due and owing by the Defendants in the amounts hereinafter stated, by the publication of this Order for four (4) consecutive weeks in the Lake County Banner, a newspaper of general circulation in Lake County, Tennessee.
FURTHER ORDERED, that said Defendants shall be and are hereby ordered and directed to appear, answer or otherwise defend against the Plaintiff’s Complaint in this cause by serving such appearance, answer or defense upon the Plaintiff’s attorney, Becky S. Dykes, whose address is 422 McGaughey Street, P.O. Box 1729, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025-1729, within thirty (30) days after the date of last publication of this Order, otherwise default judgment may be entered against them and their property sold at public auction for the recovery of delinquent property taxes.

Bids shall be received by the Lake County Highway Commission at the office at 129 Headden Dr. Ridgely, TN 38080 until 5:30 P.M., on Tuesday, the 2ND day of September 2025 and at said place publicly opened and read aloud.
The Bid Sheet shall be enclosed in a separate sealed envelope marked “Bid”, thus, preventing opening of bid by mistake.
No bids will be received or accepted after the above-specified time for the opening of bids. Bids submitted after the designated hour will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid within (30) thirty days after the actual date of the opening.
The Bidder shall comply with all State, Federal and Local Laws and /or regulations. Special laws, regulations and executive orders that are applicable to the bid shall include but not limited to: failure to list a specific law, etc., however, shall not act as a waiver of its enforcement.
